Shura was the perfect host for our major Australian Open events. He was engaging, humorous and relatable but most importantly, he understood our brand. The room was a mix of corporates, including many international guests who remained highly engaged by Shura as he moved with ease through the hosting requirements for the evening. He was flexible and adapted quickly to the many changes that happen during events, meaning as the event manager, I never had to worry! Shura was a delight to work with and I look forward to working with him again in the near future.
Shura hosted our Cricket Australia Official Hospitality for a number of matches during the past season. He has a great sporting knowledge and conducted interesting and engaging interviews with our guest speakers. Rain delays can often be a challenging time at the cricket and Shura kept the guests entertained and relaxed during this time. He is professional, easy to work with and brings an additional energy to the hospitality space.
Hawthorn Football Club engaged the services of Shura Taft for the Club’s 2015 Melbourne home games as game day host. As host, Shura’s role was to act as the voice of the Hawks on game day by introducing and running the Club’s on-field sponsor activations, live and pre-recorded interviews for the big screen and general introduction of key moments such as player run out, coin toss, junior mascot and guard of honour.
Shura was paired up with competition winner eight year old Angus Hopkinson as his junior sidekick and worked really well with Angus to help bring the “Family” theme to Hawthorn’s game day experience.
Shura was a pleasure to work with always willing to go above and beyond and being able to improvise in front of a live crowd — sometimes up to 80,000 people which is a great skill and one that Shura carried out extremely well.

Shura Taft was Master of Ceremonies for my charity FROC (Funding Research Of Cancer) Fashion Parade. FROC is an event covering Fashion Hair and Beauty with the prime purpose of fundraising for Cancer research. It was initiated and is run by myself as Founder supported by a committee of six other people.
With our time devoted to the back of house organisation and presentation, it is necessary that we can rely on a strong individual with personality and stage presence to ensure the event runs smoothly and to plan. That leaves us free to concentrate on our individual roles and responsibilities for the evening. We relied on Shura for his professionalism, credibility, timing and spontaneity, and above all his interaction with our guests.
It is important to us that our stress and expectations are not reflected on the night, and Shura’s professionalism ensured that the audience was treated to a memorable event. He was totally responsible for this aspect of the evening, and rose to the occasion by delivering an excellent experience.
Prior to the event, and during the planning process, Shura did not let us down in respect of his availability, punctuality and participation.
I would have no hesitation in recommending his services to others, or to engage him at future events.
Shura certainly knows his way around a microphone and stage. When he is available, he is always our first choice for MCing due to his ability to literally bring an event to life. His energy and enthusiasm knows no bounds but it’s his level of professionalism and devotion to any job he undertakes that sets him apart from the rest. Shura has MCed a vast array of brand events for Ignition, from VB events through to X Box and Motorola. He is a huge asset to any event and he can’t be recommended higher.
